Questions about the price.
- How much does Wuthering AI cost?
- Wuthering AI charges $0.20 per successful API call. The same price applies to every operation in the catalogue, all 57 of them. There is no subscription, no monthly minimum, and no per-seat fee.
- Is there a free tier?
- Yes. New Wuthering AI accounts start with $5 of credit and no card is required. Two things are free forever and need no account at all: the research skills at /v1/free/skills, and the published case studies at /v1/free/case-studies.
- Am I charged for API calls that fail?
- No. Wuthering AI does not charge for a failed call. A call that errors upstream is refunded by a reversing transaction, so the balance reflects only the calls that returned data.
- Do I need a credit card to try Wuthering AI?
- No card is required to start. Wuthering AI grants $5 of credit on sign-up, and you add funds only once that runs out. Billing is prepaid, so there is nothing to cancel.
- How many API calls do I get for free?
- About 25 calls. The $5 starter credit divided by the $0.20 per-call price, and failed calls do not count against it.
- What are the rate limits?
- Wuthering AI allows 20 calls per minute per token before an account has topped up, and 200 after. Every response states the current limit in X-RateLimit headers.
- How do I get an API key for Wuthering AI?
- Sign in and press "Create token" on the dashboard. A shell or agent can mint one without the dashboard by starting a device login at /api/cli/login/start, showing the user the code, and polling /api/cli/login/poll. There is no OAuth flow.
