WutheringAI is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not require account creation, do not collect your email address, and do not store your conversation history on our servers. Your interactions with AI characters remain on your device.

OpenRouter, Inc. acts as a third-party AI processor for WutheringAI. Every message you send in the app is transmitted to OpenRouter's servers for AI processing — this transmission is essential to the core function of the app and cannot be disabled while using WutheringAI.
OpenRouter processes your messages to generate character responses. WutheringAI does not control OpenRouter's data handling, retention, or use of your messages beyond what is described in their own privacy policy. You can review OpenRouter's practices at openrouter.ai/privacy.

Before your first message is processed, WutheringAI requires explicit in-app consent to this data sharing arrangement. You may withdraw consent by uninstalling the app; however, continued use of the app constitutes continued consent to message processing by OpenRouter.

All conversation history, relationship data, and character preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS AsyncStorage. We do not maintain a database of user conversations. Our server uses in-memory storage that resets each time the server restarts — no message history is persisted server-side.
Because all personal data is stored on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data in your iOS Settings. There is no server-side account to delete. If you have questions about data held by RevenueCat or Apple related to your purchases, please contact those services directly.
WutheringAI is exclusively for users aged 17 and older. The app contains mature Gothic literary themes, including dark romance, psychological intensity, and morally complex character dynamics, which are not appropriate for younger audiences.
Before accessing any app content, users are required to complete an age verification step by declaring their year of birth. This declared-age mechanism is part of our compliance with Apple App Store age-rating requirements. Users who indicate they are under 17 are blocked from proceeding and no data is collected or saved for them.
We do not knowingly collect any data from users under the age of 17. If you believe a minor has accessed this app or you wish to request removal of any data associated with a minor, please contact us at support@wutheringai.com.
